Terms of Service

These terms explain the rules for using GRIDD. The platform operator is Beaten Track Music LTD, 2 Bure Valley, Broughton, Milton Keynes, Bucks, MK10 7DR, United Kingdom. Please review these terms before using the service.

Agreement and the service

By using GRIDD, you agree to these terms. GRIDD provides account access, academy and course management, learning activities, community features and optional AI-supported tools. Academies manage their own courses and programmes; an academy may have additional terms for its teaching and services.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in methods secure, and tell us if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your account. GRIDD is intended for users aged 18 and over. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the service. Sign-in may be provided by a third-party authentication service, including Google if you choose that option.

Academy relationships and course access

Your academy controls who is invited or enrolled in its courses and which materials are made available to you. Course access may depend on your invitation, enrolment, payment status, course dates, academy rules or the status of a programme. Access to a course does not transfer ownership of its materials to you. Ask the relevant academy about its programme commitments and teaching arrangements.

Your responsibilities and acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and respectfully. Do not impersonate anyone, abuse or harass other people, upload unlawful or infringing content, attempt to access another person’s account or private materials, interfere with service security, send spam, or use automated methods that disrupt GRIDD. Do not share private invitation links or course materials beyond your authorised access.

Your content and course materials

You remain responsible for content you submit, including posts, assignments, messages and uploads, and for having the rights needed to share it. You allow GRIDD to store, display and process that content as needed to provide the feature to you and the relevant academy. The academy or other rights holder retains rights in course materials it supplies. GRIDD’s software, branding and platform content remain with their respective owners; you receive only the access needed to use the service under these terms.

AI-assisted features

AI-generated answers and recommendations may be incomplete, incorrect or unsuitable for your situation. Check important information with your instructor or another qualified person. Do not use AI output as a substitute for professional advice. You are responsible for how you use any output and should not submit information you are not authorised to share.

Third-party services

Some features rely on external authentication, hosting, email, video, payment and AI service providers. Availability may depend on those services, and their own terms may apply when you use them directly. We describe relevant personal-data processing in our Privacy Policy.

Payments and refunds

GRIDD may charge an academy for access to the platform. If you purchase a course or programme from an academy, the relevant academy may be the merchant of record; academies may set their own programme, price, payment, cancellation and refund terms. GRIDD / Beaten Track Music LTD does not collect or store student card details for those academy payments. GRIDD does not promise a particular student-course refund under these terms. Ask the relevant academy about a course purchase or refund. Academy-specific commercial terms may apply in addition to these platform terms. Any separate GRIDD platform subscription is subject to its agreed commercial terms.

Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended or ended if an account breaches these terms, access is withdrawn by the relevant academy, a course entitlement ends, or continued access would create a security or legal risk. We may take proportionate action to protect users and the service. Ending access does not automatically erase records that must be kept for legitimate purposes; see the Privacy Policy for information about data requests.

Availability and disclaimers

We work to keep GRIDD available, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance, faults or third-party outages. Features and course content may change. GRIDD and academies do not guarantee career results, income, bookings, audience growth, record-label signings, streaming performance or any specific learning or commercial outcome. AI-assisted content is information and support, not a guaranteed professional outcome. Nothing in these terms removes an obligation to provide services with reasonable care and skill where the law requires it.

Academies are responsible for the content, coaching, programme commitments and academy-specific commercial terms they provide to students, except where Beaten Track Music LTD has expressly agreed otherwise. This does not remove our responsibility for our own platform, security, authentication or data-protection obligations.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms affects your mandatory statutory consumer rights.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for business losses arising from your use of GRIDD for commercial purposes.

If you are an academy or business user, subject to the non-excludable liabilities above, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these terms or, to the extent permitted by law, for loss of profit, revenue, business, anticipated savings or goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss. Our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the GRIDD services in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid or payable directly to Beaten Track Music LTD by you for GRIDD services during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) £100. This business cap does not apply to consumers’ mandatory rights. A separate agreement with an academy may also govern liability between us and that academy.

Changes and governing law

We may change the service or these terms, and the current version will remain available at this address. We will notify users of material changes where appropriate. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections under the laws of the country in which you normally live, where applicable.

For business and academy users, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms prevents you from bringing proceedings in any court that applicable consumer law permits you to use.
